Are there any risks of buying a brand guitar like gibson or ibanez on ebay?

Well it really depends on the guitar, I can tell you a gibson les paul is 39 1/2 inches long. As far as buying on ebay, well you just have to check the seller's feedback, ect. If they are a reputable seller, you should be ok.

The overall size of a guitar doesn't determine whether it is "full size" or not.
The distance from the string nut (little white piece holding the strings at the top of the guitar) to the bridge saddles (little pieces that the strings run over near the bottom of the guitar) is what counts. Most "full sized" models measure from 24 3/4" to 26" distance.

a full size electric guitar is aroun 39 inches depending on the manufacturer. and there are plenty of risks of buying a guitar off the internet, unless you buy it from an official company website, but just be smart in what you put your money into.
