I am a 25 yr old female who lives in Chicago, IL. I am very interested in joing a dance class. I have always loved to dance and still do. I am not experienced, I have never taken a class in my life. I wasnt a cheerleader or anything like that. I would like to join to learn how to dance but also for the exercise. What would be good exercise and alot of fun, which dance? And about how expensive are these types of classes and how long do they run for?

I had been dancing ballet for 11 years and i haven't danced in a year so far but i have feelings of wanting to go back and dance but the reason i stopped was because i hated going after school and missing all the fun things like hanging out with my friends and partly because i am lazy.

Once a year my high school holds a talent show called the "snow show" in late february. Since I'm already very flexible, I thought about maybe doing a dance/contortion act next year. But I know people have mixed opinions about contortion. Do you think it would be......disturbing? Even if I wore loose clothes that cover my entire body? What do you think? Would contortion just be too weird?

I'm an Irish dancer and I need to get a solo dress soon. Solo dresses are the really pretty ones that don't look like any other Irish dancing dress. Do you where I could get one, like a website or something like that?

Im a 25 yr old female from Chicago, IL that has always loved to dance as a kid and still to this day. I am not professional in ballet or jazz or anything like that. But I want to to join a class for modern dance or whatever just to get in shape and have fun, meet new people things like that. But I am kind of skeptical due to the fact that I dont have any dance training. I was wondering how classes like that work? Im sure there is a beginners course but what about performing in front of the class on your own? Cause I dont do that. I would just like some information on how the classes work and if it is a good workout.

instructor who was featured actually didn't appear to be in particularly good shape. Same with most of the others in the class she was teaching. In fact, they all had a bit of a, well, belly. What's up with that?
