I am a mature male and I get tired of asking women to dance because they sit there waiting one song or are waiting for their boyfreinds. So i decided to dance on my own, it was so Kool as I could dance freely and not feel hindered.

Yes! i get a lot of strange looks but it felt good, Personally i do not care because i simply wanted to be me after all dance is an art form and great method of expression!

I have just started a pole dancing class with my friend. It's only one class a week and I would like to practise at other times. There is a firemans pole in the local park so we have been going there to practise in the evenings when there's no kiddies around!!!! When I wanted to learn poi, there's a great website, homeofpoi.com, which gives free lessons, tips and videos. does anybody know of anything like this to help us learn our pole dancing? Or could anyone just give us some tips please.

When I was a child, there were two reasons that I did not get to take ballet. First was that my mother never pushed me in a motivational direction, she always let the decision fall on my shoulders, even at a young age (I was in all Honors classes from 1st grade to 8th grade. A councellor thought I was an "exceptional" student in Kindergarten and offered to put me in Honors. My mom asked me if I wanted to do it at age 6 and I said yes because it sounded like fun at the time!) The second is that my controling and abusive stepfather wouldn't have allowed me any extra activity, especially since the classes cost money. So a desire to be a ballerina then was a supressed fantasy that I mostly kept hidden.

I have just started a pole dancing class at the beginning of Feb. every tues. till the end of March and then I am going to take level 2 in April till May. Stay in level 2 till I fill confident and move to level 3 through 6. My birthday is in Oct. and I am turning 21. My friends are going to take me to Rockafellers and I am going to dance on the pole there.
I am worried I will not know enough plus I am on a diet and am afraid that I will not look good enough.
I am 20 years old. 142 lbs. now. (Lost 6 lbs. from pole dancing already). Want to be 125 lbs. by Oct. and have 36C boobs. and wear a size 9. I used to have very flat stomach but since I met my bf we ate out a lot and now it just a little pudger then I would like it to be.

I am taking pole dancing classes behind my boyfriends back. I told him I wanted to do it and I think it will benefit not only me but him as well. He doesn't know that I am taking pole dancing classes right now but I told him that I am going to start in April and he does not approve of it. By April I will be on level 2 and he will think I am just starting. I tryed showing him some of the moves I have already learned and he seemed to like them. ( I told him I was practicing on stop signs and I was learning off the internet.) But he still doesn't want to "expose me to that environment." The class is merely a fitness class where we do not take our clothes off and it is not sugar coated or anything. How do I tell him that everything is going to be ok and that it is going to benefit us both.
He says he wants to get me a brass pole when we move out but that he has never been to a strip club and that doesn't turn him on. I think it will when I learn the right moves.

Hello! I'm a dance teacher and I was wondering if anyone knows some fun, learning dance games to play in class for ages 3,4,5 and 8-9. I am getting really tired of the things we usually do and need to spice things up a bit! Thanks a bunch!
