Hey Im in charge of my school dance for a funraiser any ideas ?

Do a Mardi Gras theme. That's always colorful and there are many decorations you can choose from. The beads and masks are always fun!

You could also do a Hawaiian theme...you know, the Tiki look with grass skirts and all.

Doing a fundraiser? These may sound corny, but when it comes to raising money, who cares?? You could sell flowers, corsages, or spring flowers, or even ballons. All kids love cookies, candy or cake. I know high school kids are always hungry, so why not sell some sub sandwichs, or if your school doesn't allow food sold on school grounds, have it at a popular hand out. Kids around here, hang out at Burger King but I am sure, they would rather buy from you to help the school. When my daughter was in school, they did a fundraiser to raise money for the prom with a raffle. Buy $10. worth of tickets to win a ride in a limo for the prom. I think they charged like $5. a piece, and a lot of people bought them. Good Luck and don't be afraid to sell anything, even a garage sale with old clothes will get your friends curious. Hope you got a few good idea here!

Pick a theme like normally nobody would pick and I do have a suggestion. Have a nerd dance. You know people pick stuff like the 60's or 70's. So be different and pick nerds and people can come dressed in goofy outfits with paper clipped glasses and pocket protectors and such and have a band like that too. Then have them play a lot of stuff like wedding songs and elevator music. That would really be different.

best thing is to have a theme like super heros or glamour over the ages something really funky and cool and have a game everyone plays. like have opposite things hot and cold, fast and slow, fowards backwards, up down, written on tickets and when you get to the dance you have to find the other person with the opposite to you. and the first person to find their opposite wins a prize or something.

You could have a theme dance. I would suggest one where kids come dressed as their favorite artist (school dress code must be observed, or faculty won't let you do it). I did one for my kids dance-a-thon and it was a great success.

In elementary school my friend's dad dj'ed our dance and he had a projector and screen. While the music played, the video also played, it was really cool. I don't know how much it costed, I think he had his own supplies.

well my dance school does discos and things and also we did one where we all stood outside the stadium of light which is a football ground and we made quite a bit of money in it aswell but you have to get permission to do that

you could give it an 80s theme. Maybe have a costume contest and dance contest.

you can do the Big City, Big Apple.... Country mouse, City mouse... Debutante Ball, Cinderella.... opposite dance where all the girls ask the guys.... pig tails n spikes..... 50s poodle skirts.....70s disco.... or how about a movie or tv theme....they can reflect whatever movie or show they want... or how about a song as the theme....
