I don't think it's actually natural... it's more of a cultural thing. Black people have a rich tradition of music and dance, stretching back to the earliest times on the Earth, and there are many of them that are very proud of that heritage... The music that they make and listen to (And that I listen to) is very beat driven...

With any given culture (not race), there are musical and social trends... It just so happens that right now, your CULTURE is very interested and influenced by a musical trend that has its roots in Africa... R&B... so you see more black people kickin awesome dance styles.

If you want to see white people dancing well, go to a local dance studio and watch the ballet or modern style dances, or watch that show "So You Think You Can Dance?" You'll notice a couple really awesome asian dancers, too.

And they learn it from each other! Most of the dance styles that you see there are pop and lock type derivitives mixed with a little touch of street.

You are right though, most of the black girls dancing at the club have DEFINITELY got it goin on, hot as hell... but I still think it's social, if your friends were more interested in music and dance, you'd probably learn some rhythm yourself. ;).

Check out the videos in my source for some good dancing!

This was a fun question.

anyone can dance we just have different styles.. luckily for the black girls and all the guys too they just have it naturally however many people have it naturally a trained dancer is different to a natural dancer. my boyfriend is a boxer but can move amazingly and im current sa champ and in club dancing he just looks so much better because he just has it naturally

I think all people can learn to dance but it just comes more naturally to us. everyone has an internal beat and its whether you are able to take that and use it to help you move to the music that makes you a better dancer. also, music videos. watch the people dancing in the background and try it out. just feel the music don't try to dance just have fun with it that's the most important part. personally, i learned from watching music videos, natural abilities, and my mom and sister. i know some white girls who dance just as well as we do, it does take some practice and a while to learn the moves to certain dances but its fun to learn. ask some to teach you and be prepared to have a good time. hope this helps

We don't think about how we look, we just feel the music and go with it. I think SOME white people think too much about what they are doing rather than just feeling the music and getting thier groove on.

Now, I know white people in my family and some of my white friends can dance way better than me. And my dad and brother have no rhythm whatsoever. So, its not true all across the board. Its not something that you learn, its something that you DO. So go do it. Practice makes perfect. Have fun. That's the point.

yeah, i think its more of a culture thing. black people listen to hip-hop which has a lot of beats in it that make you want to dance. although they can dance well, they are not the only ones...just check out the asian girls in this gwen stefani video. now they can DANCE!! (like black girls lol)

we get it from our mommas...lol, jp, but we hear the beat and dance to that while, to me, white people tend to just move to the whole song...if you get what I mean
