I danced from the time I was 3 to about 15... i'm now 21 and always regret quitting because I know that at this point I've forgotten most everything. I would say if you're questioning it you should go back, then if you decide you want to quit again do and call it done... but atleast give it another chance, I wish I would have!

I danced from age 3 to 10. And I quit. I was lazy, and I wanted to stay home and play outside or watch cartoons lol. But now I'm 14, and I realized how much I missed it. I finally got the courage to start up again. And I glad I did....but I could be SO much better if I never quit. I would be en pointe by now and I would be in a more advanced class. Just remember, the longer you wait, the farther behind you fall. I think you should try it again, and if you still decide you'd rather be with friends then you can always quit.

my daughters had to quit dancing for a couple years because of financial matters and they missed it. I don't think they knew how much til we went to the studio to watch and my oldest cried. I decided then if that was their passion they would dance and I would find a way to pay for it. They have been back two years and wouldn't trade it for anything. They miss out of some things with other friends but they also have friends at dance. Maybe you need to find a studio that's fun and you will be happy to go there,

I genuinely have/had an analogous concern, and that i think a team of others do too. it particularly is my 9th 3 hundred and sixty 5 days too (small international! :D) It seems such as you have numerous an analogous issues that I do too. (those are stressful little buggers!) i'm able to do my genuine splits, yet some days I genuinely have had to stress it (ow, i do no longer recomend that) and a few days i would be unable to get them in any respect. i've got have been given NO clue the thank you to do fouette's, in spite of the actuality that i'm a "opposition female" and there are various classification dancers with lots extra effectual stability then me, yet they only don't have the time to take the better training. If the different ladies seem extra effectual than you, possibly considering the fact that they do extra songs, they get extra style of their dancing?? If this is clever... i think of everybody receives the "i'm no longer as sturdy as i could be" vibe on occasion, yet once you get it lots, possibly you may in basic terms take one classification which you absolutly adore, and in case you hate pirouettes, take a classification with very few in them, like hip-hop or faucet. and doubtless a metamorphosis in studios isn't a bad theory, if the class dancers don't get numerous interest. (My studio does that with my dance instructor's daughter, she's front and center lots, yet I stay with it no longer without delay) i've got theory approximately quitting dance chilly-turkey, yet even for one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days when I stop business company to do something else, I ignored it lots! i does not stop dance all jointly, yet possibly in basic terms take one classification, so in case you detect you pass over it too lots, you are able to connect back in definitely. yet definetly do no longer end dancing because of the fact it seems such as you nevertheless like it, in user-friendly terms a splash fed-up and pissed off. i individually wish that enables!!

my dance studio is like my second home! my friends ARE the ones at dance and if you have been dancing for 11 years i would assume that you would be the same way! even if you aren't you should do what you want to do in your heart! plus you'll hate ballet if you don't LOVE it!

If you really love to dance then i think you should go for it. but if you were doing it just to make someone (other than yourself) happy, then maybe you should try doing another activity with all of your friends so that you will all be together while doing an activity that will make up for your dancing.

Don't go back just because you want to but because you love to. Ballet is something that needs not just your body but also your heart and soul. Ask yourself, is ballet or hanging out is my priority?

Well, maybe try it during the summer when there's no pressure and if you love for it comes back really strong, pick up a few classes in the fall.
