I do ballet and jazz, but i started high school this year (year 7) and i need extra time for homework and assignments.

Dancing used to be fun, but now it's just a hassle. I hate being in concerts and i hate exams. I also hate wearing all that make-up!

Plus, i have no friends - no one ever talks to me! And i figured out that we are wasting 1260 dollars per year (just for the lessons). That doesn't include costumes, shoes, concert tickets, etc.

The only thing is, i just can't come to quit! I go back to dancing on Saturday. I have to decide before that.

Do you think i'll regret it? I mean, it's not like i need the exercise, because i'm pretty thin. Imagine all of the things i could do on a Tuesday afternoon? Or a Saturday morning? But what if i regret quitting?

P.S. If i go back it will be the second term and we will be learning the Mid-year concert dance. We have three concerts a year. I'm the worst in the class...

I'm stuck, please help me decide?

My girlfriend and I recently started private lessons and found them to be very expensive. We are hoping to learn several types of dance, including waltz, salsa, tango, rumba, swing, etc. We are trying to decide if the higher cost of private lessons is worth it, or could we get the same results from the less expensive group lessons?

Ok so i'm a dancer i dance 5 days a week lyrical ballet pointe jazz and tap ect... I exercise alot then right? So i eat alot too. And it's just too much sometimes. I don't really look fat but i feel like i'm eating way too much! But if i try to eat less then i get super hungry! I went through this big growing thing last year and i ate alot so could i still be eating from that? or just still growing? I'm about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 109 pounds. Is that alot? How can i eat healthy or should i even be eating this much???
Thanks!

What is a good 27th b-day present for my dance teacher? I've taken class from her for 2 years . I can't spend too much, but I want something original (and probably not dance-related, but maybe art-related). Please help!

I would like either, but both is best, a written out list of steps each partner takes or an illustrated set of steps for dances like the Raspa and the Mexican hat dance but focusing on the less known dances of Mexico, like El Venado, La Zandunga, Los Matlachines, Jesusita en Chihuahua and La Bamba. Thanks.

I'm new to the whole scene, and i've got a lot of friends who dig it. I picked it up alright, but want to practice and improve. I work a lot and am unable to schedule private lessons because of it. I'm looking for reference recommendations via personal testimony...

I'm 17 and would like to start ballet. I'm pretty confident that i could get really far if i truly immerse myself into it, but i really don't want to waste my time on a lost cause; honestly, is it too late for me to start?

I have hip hop..but i just can`t seem to remember all of the dance combo`s we do..it would be a short 30 second one and i still would need more time on it.I also have a difficult time expressing myself in dance.I get so nervous when we get to freestyle.

Okay, I LOVE exotic dancing and want to make a career out of it. The only problem is nervousness. When I'm in front of a crowd, I get really uncomfortable dancing. I have only danced at clubs...never for a job, but I really want to. It's a lot of money and it's what I want. I just don't know. Is there a way to get over being uncomfortable? Also to any dancers, is it easy to get over being uncomfortable, and is it really fun for you?

i'm a dancer(ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop), and i want to try something new. i've been told to try tumbling but i don't know what that is. I'm 14 and afraid i'm too old to start cheerleading(as i don't want to be in a class with 10 year olds). Iceskating sounds fun but what are the benefits of it? i've heard it's expensive.. Martial Arts isn't really my thing either. I need tips.. anything that might help.. please.

i was told by some people that taking ballet past a certain age is pointless since we'd never get the same amount of training as someone who started at a young age... is this true?
