First of all, don't listen to what she is saying. that is not a good thing to say to you. if you want to do something, nothing should stop you. why don't you prove her wrong!!!

Dancing is one of the very best weightloss regimens known... if you are, in fact, worried about that... turn it into a workout, that is fun and rewarding...

a famous dance instructor once said:
"Knowing what I know about ballroom dancing, there simply is no excuse for not learning. I've seen men without legs on the ballroom dance floor. I've watched macho types, geeky types and overweight men move with grace as they executed a beautiful promenade. I've known men who took on odd jobs to pay for continued lessons. I've witnessed men literally dragged into the studio against their will and watched with pride as they developed into, not just great dancers, but one even went on to become a phenomenal instructor. How much they all would have missed if they had let their fears keep them from trying."

so, you see, don't believe any of that sort of rubbish comment!!!!

a million. For ballroom dancing you wish to have classes and train. Not many persons (now not handiest teemagers) are capable, keen or inclined to try this. two. For ballroom dancing you wish to have a detailed, colossal location (now not crowded golf equipment) and those don't seem to be very average or that convenient to discover. three. When dancing such a lot persons desire to have a laugh and believe well irrespective of how they appear after they dance, their role or form. In end, ballroom dancing isn't so to hand to do... And do not get me flawed ... I obviously love ballroom dancing !

Of course you can! Ballroom is a wonderful, gentle sport - but still a sport nonetheless, which means that you can get fit (change your shape and weight if you so desire) while still having a great time, meeting people and challenging your mind. That's so much better than the gym!

Anyway, it's up to you - not your mum - to decide if you're overweight or not. The important thing is that you be yourself and be good to yourself - and dancing can help with both of those things!

The fact seems that you have already been dancing ballroom and if you were 'fat" then this would not be possible. Sorry, but as much as I applaud parents, this mum of yours is giving the wrong message somehow. Enjoy your dance and enjoy being yourself, for you are beautiful. All the best.

Why not? Your weight has nothing to do with learning ballroom dancing.
