I am wondering if I should do it or not. I have 15 years dance expericence and I have taught dance to children before.

Would you take a Zumba class? Even if you have to pay for it on top of your gym membership?

I'm a musician considering playing for tango dancers. I would emulate Astor Piazzolla's music if I thought the dancers would like it. This would be much more serious music than I could ever get away with playing for any other kind of dancers. Take any track from any Piazzolla album: would it be a hit or a flop?

I've heard exercise is a great way to make you feel happy, when you're feeling blue. Would dancing count?

When dancing... Is it true that the more you move your stomach the more chance you have of losing more inches from it?

E.g. Moving your stomach forward, Left, Right, Back and repeat. <<<< Will that work?

m a dancer...this year im dancing 6 1/2 hrs a week. im getting this sharp pain on the inside of my knee (facing inwards) when im dancing, running, and going up stairs. one of my dance teachers thought it mite be from trying to run in PE "turned out", like in ballet. in pe, we run the mile every wednesday, and my knees are DYING by the end for like 20 minutes. i think about running parallel, but it doesnt always work. wat do i have? wat shuld i do about it? is it worth going to a specialized doctor about?? thx so much!

I have a new coworker who is a dancer. I don't really understand the whole semipro ballet/jazz dancer stuff. Sometimes I feel like I'm walking on eggshells in conversation, Im very scientific. Any tips on what is cool/uncool with dancers, just trying to make this work.

I'm just curious :) I want to see the foundation of why people put their heart, souls, and life in ballet, because I want to see if i would like it too :)

I just discovered ballet, and would love to try it ( i posted another question about if there was hope for me in ballet..). But I also want to be involved in school things, so that a scholorship might be an option. So, in spring, I have to choose, b/c doing both would be way too time consuming and wayy to much money. I was a cheerleader in 8th grade and I liked it, of course i tried out to see if more people would like me :) I ended up enjoying Competitions and football games the most when being a cheerleader. It was really fun, but i couldn't do any flips, and that kind of puts you "low" on the cheer scale :) So, i'm under a circumstance where I have to (emphasize "have to") take a backhandspring class (b/c i dropped the class, and we can still use the money for a new session of classes this spring). So, I'll learn how to flip soon, then what? This is where i get lost :) I can't decide. I'm kind of scared for cheer, because I'm nervous, but something keeps telling me to go with ballet

Why do some people just assume that all male ballet dancers are gay. I know that some male dancers are gay just as some women dancers are gay. I don't mind the steroytype, but I just would like your opinion.
Thanks-

I've been dancing for a long time and I've finally decided to take up ballroom dancing, but I don't know what shoes to wear. I have character shoes, but I know that they do have shoes specifically for ballroom. Should I invest in a pair, or are my character shoes fine? Please let me know! Thanks in advance!
