think about it this way.
you know your steps.
you know your positions/spots
you know everything inside and out about this dance.
and you love to perform.

take the energy from the crowd and from the adrenaline going inside you and show it!

and for an extra reminder to smile, use vasaline on your teeth so you cant close your lips. works every. time.

Once you know the whole routine inside out, backwards and forwards then you can start focusing on your smile.

Smile the biggest that you possibly can and try and remember what it feels like. For me, it feels like my eyes are squinting and that my cheeks are about to burn. You know your smiling as hard as you can because after awhile it kind of hurts.

And remember to enjoy it-thats the most believable smile you can see-one for the heart!

Hope this helps :)

It gets much better once you're so familiar with our routine you can do it in your sleep. But before then - what helps me is to remember to show my teeth. I know it sounds fake, but this is only one extra thing to remember and it looks much better from far away than a concentrated or even terrified expression on my face that might get there accidentally.

As gross as it may sound apply vasaline to your teeth. Also think happy thoughts, however if the smile starts to fade, the vasaline will prevent you from closing your mouth.
