And how much is choreography/flare? My wife wants to take dance lessons and I'm afraid that what we see on TV is not what will be taught at a dance studio. No two (same) dances appear to be the same.

How long does it take to learn how to do an ariel? You know, an acrobatic trick like doing a cartwheel without hands? I just want to know.

I'm 19, (Sydney, Australia) and have had no experience in dancing, and want to start dancing to help support my acting career, but I also really want to be really good at dancing (late start I know but I’m determined), So far I’m liking the look of jazz, contemporary and hip hop and funk doesn't sound bad either, but what’s the best style to do when your making that very first step?

Help.. There was a guest choreographer that who's name I didn't write down. He is amazing that he choreographed dances that are so fresh and new. He ranks up there with Isadora Duncan, Michael Kidd Martha Graham,Bob Fosse,. He performed on Dancing with the stars and he wore face makeup . Painted white with a red star on one eye. Similar to a singer in the rock group KISS. I need to show my kids what a great dancer he is. Anyone know who he is? Thanks for reading this regardless.

My dance studio allows us to only wear buns for ballet class. So I was wondering if you guys had any ideas about how to spice up the average bun a little bit? Thanks!

I am about 6 feet tall (over 1.80 meters) - female, without heels - and I was wondering what the average height of professional Ballroom dancers is. I'm really interested in someday doing professional Ballroom dancing, but I have trouble finding a partner that is taller than me. So do you know of any professional Ballroom couples that are about this height?

As part of a competitive dance team, I need a good song that isnt popular and overplayed to choreograph a solo to, prefferably one thats not rap or hip hop, if you please. I need to take it to competition in february, and need to have it ready by january. The music is needed by december in order to get it cut.

Most of the music Ive found is only good for a duet or ensemble, which is all fine and dandy, but I like i said, I need a solo, since Im trying out for officer next year. Any ideas?
