Everytime I try to dance gracefully I just end up looking like the stiff one with no rhythm at all, and im tall so everyone can see it. How can I loosen up! I try to shake my bum so hard but it doesn't look like im doing anything! =(

Looking to have some fun with my date and our friends. (and when I say fun I mean good clean fun) What should we do? Movies, eat, go walking? I live in St.Louis by the way so any specific ideas for this area would be good.

I'm sixteen years old and I'm a dancer. I LOVE to dance. I take dance classes three times a week. I take 45 minutes of Hip-Hop on Monday, then ballet/Hip-hop on Wednesday and Thursday for an hour and a half a day. I also work out in PE every day for about an hour....I haven't really seen any weight loss or much toning.....does anyone know how long it takes to start seeing results? I am definitely getting muscle in my legs, since dancers are all about their legs, but that's all! Anyone have ideas?

What I am looking 4
- Iam more of a hip-hop r&b focused, so if the school focuses on that mainly then I'll perfer it more then anything else

-Location of the school doesn't matter, only that it must be in the United States. I aiming for California or Florida, but if the better school is some where else thats ok.

-MFA is the master degree for performing arts, and much more perfered degree for me then MA, which focuses less on the dancing part. Just wanted to put that in there

I see them on the dallas cowboy cheerleaders and some dancers. They are awesome ,you hardly see them. I tried to shop on line from Danskin and capezio, but I got confused. My skin color is very very light brown and I don't know what matches my color.I want that kind of tights that you hardly notice it. Which one is better,Danskin or capezio. They have many kinds like "hold and stretch footed tights"and "convertible". What color is perfect for me.They have(lightsuntan-natural-caramel-toast-light toast-nude-caramel and classic light toast-suntan and pink)I cannot tell what is better for me because I can't feel them(I shop on line) Please help.

I turned 20 recently so unfortunately, I'm still not old enough to go to to 21 and over clubs. I've been to one 18 and over night club in Hollywood (can't remember the name) but didn't like how young and immature the crowd was...

So by "good" club, I mean one with a more mature crowd. Other than that, I'm open to any kind of music. Please help! I need to get out of the house~

I want to dance to something sad yet expressive and filled with life
I want a song that tells a tale of misfortune but from the perils of life a new person has emerged to take refuge in enlightenment and thrive on every fiber of divine enrichenment
a song of
bad begginings
to an ending with changed views
it is for a dance class
I really want mine to be effective
I honestly dont want to be like 99.98 percent of my class and dance to some crappy rap song or whatever other meaningless crap there is out there
I want something effective, and unique
not so average and heard of a million times
i love you all
help me
and if you're good to mama....
mama's good to you!!!!!!

OK, so long story short: I'm in a dance class at my school. If I can't grasp a dance step too well I start to beat myself up about it. (Like "isolation" and moving my hips for example). This is probably due to bad experiences in the past where I was laughed at and told I could never dance. I get tense and just can't relax and have a good time in class since I'm in it just to try something new. How can I let go of being so tense and hard on myself? How can I stay motivated in my dance class when I'm getting frustrated and discouraged?

Thanks!!

I really want to be a back-up dancer, i think that'd be awesome! or in a movie like High School Musical.

My sister's acting lessons, My Artist's Place, does have dancing. My friends say im a good dancer, but idk. The problem is that my mom is so caught up on my sister's acting, singing and modeling lessons to pay for that she doesn't let me do stuff like that. It's really disappointing for me cause she says she doesnt have the money but then goes spends it on my sister's classes.

Please, what should i say to let my mom say i can start dancing?

What are some good classical songs. I have to pick a song for my ballet exam and I can't find anything good. Help! Even give me names of good composers. It just has to be classical with no singing. I would like to pick a fast song since I'm better with allegro style.

On average How long does it take to learn how to do a split ? I'm trying out for a Dance Line its where girls in flashy dresses get on the side lines of the football field and dance (almost like cheerleading) at my High School and you have to do a split in the audition . Well i can get about 3 1/2 inches away from the floor but i wanna get ALL the way there ! i have until Nov 20 th. Do i have time ? I practice 5 hours a day Every day (no joke) im THAT serious about getting in this thing ! Im really worried so do you think i have time to get all the way there?

This happened to my Sansha Canvas ones. I haven't lost the whole thing but the left side of it is like in the shoe...you know what I mean?

Heres a pic (I took it with my webcam, so not very good quality)

http://i23.tinypic.com/34td6rs.jpg

See where my left hand index finger is, thats where the other side of the string is.

How do I get it back?

(Haha, they're so dirty-theres nothing like a good, old dirty pair of flats!)

Except for the lucky few, very VERY few, we all know this.

So what tips would you give a white girl to learn how to shake her ***, or at least dance some without looking stupid. How'd you do it?

Thanks!!
