I really want to be a back-up dancer, i think that'd be awesome! or in a movie like High School Musical.

My sister's acting lessons, My Artist's Place, does have dancing. My friends say im a good dancer, but idk. The problem is that my mom is so caught up on my sister's acting, singing and modeling lessons to pay for that she doesn't let me do stuff like that. It's really disappointing for me cause she says she doesnt have the money but then goes spends it on my sister's classes.

Please, what should i say to let my mom say i can start dancing?

hahahahaha....It's really funny you know....It really is.. People think that to start dancing they need to go to class... Well you don't NEED! to go to class to be a dancer how do you think streetdances like Breakdancing, and popping and locking were made? by some rich kids up in the hills who had "the money"? look I admit you can only learn so much on the streets and you do need to go to class but that doesn't mean you can't be something if you don't go to class.. Alot of the best dancers out there didn't even start off going to class they learned from someone else or by them selfs trust me if this really means as much to you as you say it does then you'll find a way to make money and go to class, and your 15, if your Canada in like I am then next year you can get a job and earn the money yes it's hard to fulfill your dreams..But they'res always away to pay of dues you just have to believe and have your heart in the right place.

I started dancing when I was 16, but on my own. We didn't have a lot of money so I waited until I was in college to take classical dance lessons. Now I teach dance with an academy and I'm 20.

Tell your mom that you are really serious about dancing. If she doesn't say okay, watch videos and copy moves for now, when you get a job then you can take lessons on your own. You can still be a dancer w/o taking lessons, I know this from experience. I became well known in my community because of dancing, even when I had never had a lesson.

Talk to your mom at a good time where she's not so busy. Explain to her about your interest in dancing and how you would love to take a class there. Maybe you can pay for some of it yourself-yes, your sister gets hers paid for, but it'd be a good way for you to learn about money and will really show how mature you are if you show how dedicated you are to this by offering to pay for some on your own. Now, if that's not avaliable...because right now, I'm just thinking that saving up for a dance class will take awhile, the make up a list of reasons on WHY you think your Mom should allow you to start dancing. Write about how your sister does modeling, acting and singing and you would love to take dance-just one class. Write the reasons on why this will be good for you (such as excersing, pursuing your dreams, learning something new, and so on.) Discuss with her what it will take for you to get into a dance class. If this doesn't work out then you should join a dance class at school. That's what I'm in-it's free and we're learning all kinds of dances. This is a good thing b/c 1.) its free and 2.) you are learning a variety and once you learn a good variety you can choose which dance you would love to learn more about and possibly take a class on outside of school. It also gives you a sample of what a dance class is like so you can get a little feel of what will be expected of you-although I have heard paid dance classes are different from school ones. You could also join a dance team at school.

Don't give up on your dreams to dance. You will be able to soon. Just keep your chin up and don't get discouraged. Continue to run after your dreams-let nothing hold you back from getting this.

I wish you the best!!

Can't tell your mom what to do,but if you have talent, find as many ways to make money as you can. Soda cans at a nickel apiece, get a newspaper route and save. Then find out where you can learn to dance, find out if you have talent. Now you can decide whether to continue or just be a backup dancer to a school play.

Well I had sort of the same problem. My parents couldn't afford dancing lessons for me, and I was really dying to dance! So I had to find out something to get to dance.
I simply took a job and made a deal with my parents. I pay the half, and get to dance!
Hope you will find some solution that fits you =)

You should tell your mom that your her daughter also and that your other sister shouldn't be the only one getting supported with the many things shes interested in. Or talk to your sister and have her mention it to your mom that you also want to pursure dancing but you wont be able to fulfill that unless your mom supports the both of you. its unfair to have your mom support only one of you when shes both your mom. just tell her how much it would mean to you to start dancing/
