what are the gender roles of boys and girls in hiphop and ballroom dancing?

In ballroom: boys lead and girls follow. Sorry, I don't know much about hip hop. When I see people dance it, it looks pretty independent to me, i.e. boys and girls dance by themselves, but like I said I don't know that much about hip hop.

Ballroom is when the boy has to be masculine and strong and take the lead for the girl to follow. In Hip Hop its more styles you can do.
