I want a song that tells a tale of misfortune but from the perils of life a new person has emerged to take refuge in enlightenment and thrive on every fiber of divine enrichenment

to an ending with changed views
it is for a dance class
I really want mine to be effective
I honestly dont want to be like 99.98 percent of my class and dance to some crappy rap song or whatever other meaningless crap there is out there
I want something effective, and unique
not so average and heard of a million times

I don't know of any song that fills all of your needs. I think you might have to put together a medley of songs.
The sad song to start with is from somewhere around 1967, so it's not getting a lot of play any more. I've seen people dance to this song and make it an amazing song. It has long and short versions that were released. It's called: "MacArthur Park." I cannot remember the name of the singer.

I think these songs are more for a lyrical type of dancing. If your not doing a lyrical dance...you can still listen to them because they are amazing. Good luck with your solo!

You could dance to a Beatles song from Across The Universe's soundtrack. There's at least 50 songs and they're all amazing.

these are both on youtube, and not your typical "crappy rap"
