I really need to know where I can learn International Standard Ballroom Dance. So, please let me know. I will be a good student.

no, this is not a question on dating, but how did the sadie hawkins dance get its name? I was just curious, because I know very well what it is from my history, but I have no idea what it means.

I was wondering if you think that dancing the salsa is erotic? Do you think that other dances are more erotic? What gestures or mouvements are more erotic, and waht is the signification behind them?
I would also like to have different opinions, from people who dance professionnaly, for pleasure or how are beginners and/or have never danced it but at least have senn people dancing the salsa...

I do pointe 4 hours a week and about a month ago, my big toenail started really hurting. The nail felt like their was a lot of pressure on it but as far as appearance goes, it looked fine.

About a week after that, I got this huge dark purple bruise that covered the entire right half of the nail. At that point, my nail didn't hurt anymore, so I continued doing pointe. When I took off my pointe shoes after my 2nd class with the bruise, my toe was hurting really bad and there was a lot of blood seeping out from under the nail. I decided to tough it out and continue with class the next day and the same thing happened.

After that second class, I, my instructor and my mom all decided that I should take a break from pointe to let my nail heal. It's been a week since then and now almost all of my nail is detatched from my toe. The only part that is still attached is the cuticle and the left edge (the side that wasn't bruised).

Should I remove the nail? If so, how?

I'm so confused!
I have a strong interest in classical ballet. but -
I really want to become an accident & emergency surgeon, that is my main career goal..
I am aware this is probably a strange contrast, two very different interests.
If I can't make it into medical school, I would love to teach ballet as a second option.
I plan to go to sixth form [college] next year to study physics, biology & chemistry .
I'm just stuck because i have been told to be a dance teacher i would need to go to a ballet college. but i am not going to do that..
I'm not sure what to do!
Can i become a ballet teacher if i decide at 18 becoming a surgeon isnt for me?

[ Due tocertain circumstances i have NOT been able to take up ballet seriously until about now. therefore i am only a beginner and i am not sure as to whether i still stand a chance starting so late at age 15.]

-thanks!

I always loved dancing at home by myself. I don't know any dance moves but whenever I hear a good music, I dance to it. I don't know what takes over me while I'm dancing but I feel like I'm free and I get my stress out.

I danced at some parties and people think I'm retard because of the way I dance. They said I gave scarey eyes.
I didn't know what I was doing since while I'm dancing I'm in another world.

I was watching a tape of me when I was 5 years old dancing, I looked retarded when I was dancing. Everybody who was watching the tape was asking "what's wrong with you."

What is wrong with me? I was wondering is there like a ghost or some kind that takes over and make people retarded?

When I dance I'm so stiff, what can I do to be more loose and make my moves flow, also what else can I do to become a better dancer?

But my biggest problem is staying on beat and being too stiff.

For my yearbook class, I have to take pictures of the clubs, dance, breakdance, orchestra, and the step team. However, I am not that great at taking pictures. What are some good websites that might help me? Also do you have any "angle" ideas? These photos are not to be posed either which makes it much more difficult.

This is a triumph of mediocrity over excellence. For those of you who work in the broadcasting buisness know what I am talking about. Great people are put down and the mediocres are promoted!!!

This is just a dancing show which in the overall scheme of things really does not matter who wins or loses. But what a sad day that we reward mediocrity over excellence so other people have a chance to compete. Unless there is proof that sabrina has had some kind of professional dance training, there is no reason that she should been been voted out. But wait a minute, she was voted out by some dumb and mediocre people.

Last night Sabrina Bryan got the boot off Dancing with the Stars. I have to say, she was the best contestant all around. She really wanted to win, and did her best. Yet, she was booted.

Isn't it odd that a nation booted her off, but at the same time is disappointed she is now gone? What is your opinion on last nights Results show?

I think it would be great if they did do a recount, invite her back, or the rest of the contestants just QUIT. Wishful thinking of course. I am so diappointed.

It's a Persian classical song. I'm doing a dance to it. I want to dance a story into it i.e my last dance was about a man that loves a girl but that song had words so it was easy to get the meaning. This song is all instrumental and it makes me want to move and dance beautifully but I need a story. What are your thoughs? please be as elaborate as you want..but please be nice. Thanks : )
