Like other people said, it is called Viennese Waltz. It is hard to learn if you make it your first dance, but it is very easy once you have some ballroom training. Start with regular Waltz, it is slower, it will give you a chance to understand what are you doing and how are you doing it. Vienneses can be quite unpleasant when you have no training.

have basic figures for both Vienneese and regular Waltz. There are two styles to both - American and International. American is a bit easier to pick up, but International looks more classis.

One more thing - it is much more efficient tp learn in a class than from a website. Try to find a local dance class. Search the same site I gave you. But yeah man, totally do it. If a girl is into ballroom you have a much better chance if you know ho to dance or at least eager to learn.

Well the first priority, if you're looking to impress your girlfriend, is the dance is called "Viennese Waltz," as in Vienna, not Vietnam. ;)

Now, to answer your question directly, if you do a youtube search of viennese waltz, your certain to get plenty of entries of proffesionals. Here's one in particularly that may help.

In light of these 'circle' moves you speak of, well there are a quite a few different turning circular motions. In that specific video, you will find natural turns (first 10 seconds), box turns (next 15 seconds), stationary turns, and many others.

And finally, a protip: consider starting out with regular waltz if you want to pick up the dance (it's slowly and has fewer difficult manuevers) - viennese waltz is a particularly difficult ballroom dance, and it's a fat chance you'll be able to pull it off without prior ballroom experience.

I think your talking about the Vienesse waltz. Its a ballroom dance where they go around in circles. Its normally only done by experienced dancers and the speed and timing is quite hard.
Here is the Vienesse waltz: http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=HdYbeB4jFdI

Here is the quickstep which is another ballroom dance:
