I am about 6 feet tall (over 1.80 meters) - female, without heels - and I was wondering what the average height of professional Ballroom dancers is. I'm really interested in someday doing professional Ballroom dancing, but I have trouble finding a partner that is taller than me. So do you know of any professional Ballroom couples that are about this height?

Professional ballroom dancers can be any height, but being tall is an advantage in competitive ballroom. You are alot more noticeable and you can move more even before you learned any technique, just because your legs are longer. If you find a guy who's 6'3 or taller than you're all set. They are hard to find, but they exist and they are looking for a tall partner as well.
Yes, I know many professional couples who are about that height.

If you can find a 6'4" partner, you're in great shape for American Smooth or International Standard, where the shorter couples have to work at it to get those long, flowing lines. The height of dancers is the same as the height of the general public.

You particular can. this is slightly extra stable yet you're able to do it. have you ever seen a number of the accomplishment that a number of those fairly tall adult men have made (with short companions) on dancing with the celebs? possibly your sister will improve taller or placed on very intense heels. You choose for it Ballroom dancing is eye-catching.:)

For competitive ballroom dance, yes.

That involves judging, and I got the impression from Clyde Drexler's awful scores and the comments made about him on "Dancing With the Stars," that judges don't care for tall dancers or mismatched couples.

But as far as doing it for yourself is concerned, go for it.

Absolutely not. These days 6 foot is not too tall at all, anyone 6'3 or taller would be a great partner and teh good thing is that these days people aare growing taller everyday.
