Hi there..

I am a professional choreographer.. have had plenty of experience in the performing arts...

A good project that you may want to consider, is maybe doing a routine that has a philosophical point of view, or a "lesson of life" behind the routine.

Here is what I have done with my dance background and teachings... I used the bible as a reference for the basis of my teachings. I incorporated my career and dance videos with what I had for my teachings.

(I don't mind if you use some of the ideas, just don't forget to give credit for it :))

I think it's both. Dance is a sport because you can compete. BUT if you don't compete that does not mean it isn't a sport because if you play soccer just for fun that doesn't mean it is not a sport right? You work hard, excerise and just plain and simple in my opinion dance is a sport. I also think it is a hobbie because a person who plays basketball or something may say that is their hobbie enough though it is also a sport. A hobbie is something you do for fun. It's also a form of art and away to express yourself gracefully and basically however you want. It's like my two favorite sayings: Dancing is a sport, everything else is just a game. AND If dancing were easy, everybody would be doing it.

this might be a little hard but it would sure look cool! lightly sketch/trace the outline of dance shoes or an outfit or even a dancer. then write out your entry within the lines. when you are done, erase the lines so that all that remains is your entry and the words will make the shape you picked.

you can write a journal but put in pictures of dance type things such as shoes and cover it with ballet satin with a dancer on the front. and use magizone words everyonce in a while on the journal entry. like you could use the word dance on every entry and that word could be the one you get a magizine word for it. did that make sense? haha hope it helps

Hi Hon..

Why don't you watch "Dancing With The Stars" on Monday, and see if you can get any ideas..Or listen to the judges, maybe you can get some ideas on a dance technique by just listening to them..
Anyway, good luck Hon!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

can you make journal entries on the sole of an old dancing shoe? there are plenty of shoes at the thrift store near me. Good luck with your project.

Dance is about many things, but flexibility, muscle control, strength and grace come to mind immediately. How about one of those little artist's human body figurines that they use to get the body proportions right to illustrate this? You can get these at art supply stores.

Explain who your hero is and why. Explain why it is so important to be physically fit to be a dancer.Perhaps a picture of a few different types of dancers.
