I am wondering if I should do it or not. I have 15 years dance expericence and I have taught dance to children before.

Would you take a Zumba class? Even if you have to pay for it on top of your gym membership?

I really like zumba, if its done correwctly. I have some background in African and carribean dance, so actual zumba is a good fit. I have, however, taken it at gyms where the teacher was too busy showing off what she learned in musical theatre to actually make it productive. make it fun and easy for newcomers to follow, and i think youll enjoy yourself.

It may be a good way of getting back into teaching. If you're already a teacher do it on the side if you can, but don't put all your money on it. If you have to drop other things in order to do it I'd say no. I'm afraid it's just a fad.
Would I take a Zumba class? If I had no previous dance experience I probably would. Now, after 6 years of Ballroom and Latin I don't see a point although it is offered in my studio. I get enough fitness exercise out of ballroom practice.

Is it worth doing anything? I think the better question to ask is do you want to become a Zumba instructor?
