When I googled it, it just said it was a 'traditional arrangement' with no mention of who it was by.... no sign of it on the main cd retail sites....

I don't know if I can find "Azucar" exactly....However...

There are two salsa songs with "Azucar" in them:

Azucar Negra, and
Azucar Caliente

Both were by Celia Cruz. We remember that salsa-singing lady.

Celia Cruz, the "reina de salsa" (Queen of Salsa), who unfortunately died in 2003, had a trademark shout in some of her great salsa hits. She used to say "Azucar!" (which means "Sugar" in Spanish), which means "Be joyful when you are dancing salsa."

And guess what...I am a "Dancing With The Stars" fan in the U.S....a very strong fan. This show came out of your show you were watching. I think Victor Silvester used to be probably host and a judge of that show. He wrote a book called "Modern Ballroom Dancing." I adored Jane Seymour when she danced in "Dancing With The Stars" in 8 rounds before she got eliminated.

You will hear Celia say "Azucar!" 5 times in his "Rie y llora", which appears in the album, "Irresistible." Regrettably, "Rie y llora" is more "cha-cha" than salsa.

Celia Cruz sings a song called Azucar (I think it means sugar in Spanish). You can download it from eMule and see if it's the right one.
