other than the fact that he lost his robot and obviously it was the name of the story. It fell kind of flat to me, and thought maybe there was more to it, then saying "too bad I lost my robot. "

Right now I´m in the mood for something girlie in the lines of Sophie Kinsella, Louise Bagshaw or The Devil Wears Prada, Sex and the City... I just hate it when I buy a book which looks good and can´t finish it cause I don´t enjoy it! Recommendations usually work for me. Thanks!

In Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver, the character Jack Shaftoe acquires the sobriquet "L'Emmerdeur." I can't find this word in any French dictionaries, although there was a movie made by that title in the 1970s. Does anyone know what the word means? Thanks!

Shakespeare describes the ages of man very cynically. How much are Shakespeare's descriptions of people still true today? Would you describe persons and ages in a less cynical way?

In the last movie, The Bourne Ultimatum, there is a scene between Nicky Parsons and Jason Bourne that suggests they have a history. Is there anything in Ludlum's books that indicates this or is it something added for the movies.

Also, have you read any of the other Bourne novels by Eric Van Lustbader? How do they compare with Ludlum's books.

For what it's worth, I haven't read any of the books, but I'm going to start soon.

For which qualities and achievements is Gilgamesh praised in the prologue of The Epic of Gilgamesh? I'm not too sure because its really hard to understand it. your help is greatly appreciated. The only achievements I know of is that he build walls around the city Uruk, killed Humbaba the monster. As for qualities...ummm, he was wise, went on long journeys, was courageous and was two thirds god and one third man.

Robert B. Parker has often been recommended to me as a great writer of crime fiction. Unfortunately, no specific title has been cited, he has written so many books I don't know where to start. Any recommendation?

I have a similar problem with Dick Francis, so many books, where to start?

Thanks!
