I can't pick! I loved "The Stand" it's just so apocalyptic but his characters are so real. Also I loved "Different Seasons" the story "The Body" just blew me away the first time I read it and it's still my favorite, "Needful Things" because I just love Castle Rock and the familiar characters, "Black House" it just held me, I read "The Talisman" by King/Peter Straub when I was a teenager and loved it, so I love the sequel as well. Also, "Pet Cemetary" it just creeps me out to no end. Aw heck, I can't pick just one!!!!

I would say The Stand. I think it is his Magnum Opus, though mr King and many others would say The Dark Tower series. I have always liked the story and reread it regularly. I also like the Mini-series. Generally when his books become movies I am unhappy with the outcome, but that book, the Shining Mini- series and The Langoliers Mini-series are among the ones I most enjoy.

My favorite book was eyes of the dragon. It is unlike any of his other books in the fact that it was almost fantasy yet it was very physcologically scary. I have read this one over and over again.

I love the unabridged Stand for it's complexity and intensity. He manages to wrap huge moral and cosmic issues around the lives, and deaths, of a few dozen people.

I also love On Writing, for his devotion to the craft.

'The Stand' is my favorite. It is so tightly written and the characters are so well explored. It is an epic!! 'Salem's Lot' is the scariest though, i read it in junior high school and didnt sleep for weeks after!
