What importance does the camera, her bedroom, and the pecan tree have to the novel? What might they represent?
On page 5 Mama said "Curls is a sign of favor from The Lord". What did that mean to Maggie?
On page 8 Maggie says" I secretly suspected they got to second base the way most players did: by stealing it". What is the implication?
On page 13 Mama says the family that started a taxi service are "uppity coloreds". What does uppity coloreds mean?
On page 14 Maggie says crystal rings with a sound that is pure and high showing it is real. She then compares this with Zeke. What does the comparison say about Zeke?
On page 15 Maggie says "First National was the only place that didn't care about color" Why does First National not care?
"If you lived in Kinship you had your place" What does this say about Kinship?
"Only the color of your skin kept you on the right side of the tracks" What does this say about people like Maggie who lived on the west end of town?

What scene in the novel most lingers in your mind? Why?
P.S: This question is asked by me. Don't even think that's a homework and I'm tryin' to make people do it for me.
What teachers in the earth would give a homework with only one question.
I just want to get different opions from different people.
Alright guys thanks.
