i don't think of i have ever examine a young person novel, which may be ironic thinking i'm 17 and performance purely been heavily studying for decades. For some reason, the kind I examine maximum is technological knowledge fiction. i do not plan it this kind, and that i'm no longer confident that i could even say sci-fi is my renowned type. I basically ensue to love some writers that consistently keep on with sci-fi. for instance, Philip ok. Dick is one in all my favorites; by him, i have examine "Do Androids Dream of electric powered Sheep?" and "A Scanner Darkly". "A Scanner Darkly" has fewer sci-fi elements and promises extra emotion than DADoES, yet both are marvelous. also, "The Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury is amazingly unfashionable, which i love. It changed into written the 1950's and has countless classic sci-fi elements, yet is likewise very mature in its portrayal of human (and alien) emotion. i'm presently studying "evaluate Phlebas" by Iain M. Banks, it truly is extra modern (1980's). It has a very gritty, mature type if it truly is what you're into.

Best best best Sci Fi book ever; 'Why do Androids dream of electric sheep?', its the book that Blade Runner was based on, by Philip K. Dick. Its guuuuud. And I dont really like Sci Fi.
Other great books, Middlesex, Pillars to the Earth, Kite Runner, Family Matters and Holes by Louis Sacar is great.

If you like reading non-fiction, about what goes on nowadays - I recommend these two -
1) "Under the Loving Care of the Fatherly Leader"
written by Bradley K. Martin
2) "Rogue Regime"
written by Jasper Becker
These two well-written books give an insight about the North Korean Government.
Fiction?
Try all the books written by Clive Cussler.
The hero is Dirk Pitt, with his sidekick Al Giordino. These are well-written.

Look into Barry Hughart's bridge of birds, story of the stone, eight skilled gentlemen. (3 part story)
It is a fantasy novel.comical far east setting. (not kiddy at all, some "adult" humor but not obscene)
They are older books, somewhat rare but will be available on ebay/amazon...don't expect to get them for a few bucks though.
If you ever played the xbox game jade empire the story was heavily influenced by this series.
There is also a compilation of the three that is more modern and will be cheaper.
