I think I have all of the Donna Parker books written by Marcia Martin in the 1950's and 60's but I dont know the order in which the series was written. Anyone familiar with these books who knows what order they should be read in? Thanks!!

I've always loved "The Mist', a short story from the book "Skeleton Crew". My favorite book though is "Needfull Things". Never read any of the Gunslinger books, but heard they were good.

I like ones with lots of action, cliff-hanging suspense, and which don't skimp on the description. And most importantly, it has to be a good story, the kind that makes people scratch their heads and wonder why it hadn't been written sooner. Of course, a few lessons and well-placed observations on life wouldn't hurt, not to mention a light helping of romance as well.

Your thoughts?

I'm writing a longish novel, and Microsoft Word just isn't working for me. There's simply too many pages to keep track of everything on a Microsoft Word document. Does anybody know a reliable, user-friendly program designed for writing novels?

His writings are considered by critics as scandalous, yet there is great fascination for his depiction of sexuality and pleasure seeking. I have read several of his works such as 'Juliet' and 'Misfortunes of Virtue'; I would like to know your opinion regarding this unique and controversial character and whose philosophy of unrestrained freedom and sexuality have made him famous for the equivocal reasons.

It's a true story written by the daughter of a military spy. He divulged all of this secret information while he was elderly and she wrote a book about it. It just came out within the past two or three months. Can anyone give me a title or author?

Last night I posted a question about if Rowling is setting up a core group of Dumbledore's Army (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Ginny, and Luna as they participated in both the battle at the Ministry of Magic and the one at Hogwarts on the night Dumbledore died) as the next Order of the Phoenix. Today I was telling someone else about the question and they said maybe she was setting them up to be the next set of Hogwarts teachers. Assuming all six were to live (or even some of the six do), who do you think would teach what?
