What is the first novel you read and how old were you.

Little Women, by Louise May Alcott. I was in grade 6. I guess that would be about 11 years old.
I loved the novel so much I went on to read all the other books from this series > Little Men, Jo's Boys. I loved all of the books from this series, but Little Women was my most best loved. I have seen the novel on TV several times. I have always enjoyed watching it on TV,. but it never compares with the book, at least to my heart.

Do you remember the Baby-sitters Club books by Ann M. Martin? I read the books about Karen, the little sister, at a pretty early age. Like three to four perhaps? I was reading the actual BSC books at probably 6 or 7.

The first novel I ever read was Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone when I was 5 years old.

I can't remember it's title, but it was a 'science fiction' book by Philip Wylie ... and I read it when I was six. I know ... it was a book written for adults ... but I 'understood it' differently when I was six, and then 'understood it as an adult' when I read it again when I was an adult. My second book was by Aldous Huxley ... Brave New World. My mom had some really interesting books on our shelves, and I loved reading them ... in 1956!
