this is what i have so far

There we were, pulling in the driveway me and Johnny. I stopped slowly at my mailbox to get my mail. I reached in a grabbed the three letters. I handed them to Johnny to hold as I drove us into my garage. Johnny said “why is the army sending you stuff?” “What?” I asked curiously. “They sent you a letter.” “Really?” “Yep it is right here.” “I will see what it is when we get in the house.” “ok.” Well when we did get into the house I opened it and saw what it was and I wanted to cry. It read:
Matthew Gonzales,
You have been chosen to go to the U.S. army and fight in the war at Vietnam. We ask that you gather your things and say goodbye to your families you will be departing in 5 days. Thank you very much for your time.

I gave the letter to Johnny he read it just stood there, speechless. “Why you Why do they want to take you away from your family Why” he asked me. “I don’t know” I answered on the verge of tears
in the end they die and meet in heaven. \TITLE???

Is it acceptable for an author to coin his own words that have never existed anywhere else as he writes?
I have come across several words in Stephen Kings books that he seems to have made up and cannot be found in a standard dictionary

I might read Debbie Macomber's Blossom St. series, so don't recommend that. I am currently reading her book Susannah's Garden and it's just ok. I wondered if anyone knew of any better authors who write stories having to do with knitting and female friendships.
I'd also like a good, easy book on the basics of knitting or if you know of any good websites on the basics.

Do ya'll think that there is an age associated with the harry potter series? I'm 16 and my mom seemed surprised the other day when I said that I liked Harry potter, and asked me if I thought that I was too old for it. What do ya'll think? Is harry potter for little little kids?

Does anyone know how you can post a question on JK Rowlings Official Sites FAQ? There are questions in the FAQ regarding The Books, JKR and Other Questions but there doesn't seem to be anywhere that you can ask your own question? Do you have to be a WOMBAT member to ask one and if so, how? Because I just passed the 3rd Wombat and can't find anyway to post a question to JKR?
Or do you simply have to mail her a question to the publishers and hope she picks yours to answer on the site?
