Why are you looking to publish a book that you have not even written? No reputable publisher or agent will consider an unfinished work by an unknown author. You have to have a finished manuscript in hand, and it has to be great.
Stop wasting your time on Yahoo. Turn off the internet, open Word, and start to write. Do not even think the word "publishing" again until you have finished the book and at least two revisions.
Then you can come back and get all the help you need!

One of the other users brought up a valid point. While writing can be a theraputic process, it does not automatically require publication. As interesting as your life is to you, publishing is about what is interesting to the general reader.
First, visit Amazon and see how many existing books are already out there about your topic. Whatever you are going through, a million others have as well. That isn't meant to sound trite, but merely to provide some perspective to a situation. A book deal for the autobiography of an unknown 24 year old is slim.
Now a more reasonable alternative may be women's magazines, which are always looking for "real life" stories. If you can break your story down into manageable short articles, you may have far better luck with the magazine market. I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with these magazines and get a feel for the angle they normally take. Then query them with your story idea. Get some copies of Writer's Digest or The Writer. They often have these sort of magazines listed in their markets section.

Unless you are a Hollywood celebrity, a well-known politician with baggage, or a successful businessman holding billions, no publishing house would be interested in your autobiography. I doubt also that you are a military hero unless you've just returned from Iraq.
Your best option is to hire a vanity press to publish your works and then you market the book yourself. You can always write your biography, have it printed, and pass it to your children, but I think that is about the extent of it.

Some tips on this link about publishing and online publishing.
I have a friend who had to overcome a lot of problems - she says that writing her story was enough, and she then moved on. Maybe you should write it and then you have the rest of your life ahead of you. Why publish it? Good luck!
