I am going to be doing an essay for a class about examples of feminism and feministic ideas in Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I really need some examples of this topic since I can't really understand what it means by a "femnist novel."

this is the beginning of my book excuse dont rate on spelling ill take care of that

He lay at the end of a long narrow corridor, wondering where he was. Then the thought came, who was he? He could not remember any of these things.
"Black eyes in a fire" a voice beckoned. The bewildered man became even more baffled upon hearing this until he came to his feat and recognized doors. Hundreds of them, along the corridor. With little barred windows near the top. He was in a prison. He didn't know who he was, but now he knew where. Then he heard footsteps at the end of the very long corridor and even more confusing thoughts raced through his head. Am I an escaped prisoner? The footsteps came to a cease and the man looked down the corridor to see a very tall figure standing at the end, starring very bluntly at him. He was barely moving until after what seemed an eternity he began running down the long corridor for the man. The man saw that the tall figure was wearing a uniform

I've seen the movie and it doesn't seem to make any reference that Fred is gay. ( I know the writer is)
I saw a Seinfeld episode where they say "George, Fred is gay".
I don't get it. Does the book go into more detail that the movie doesn't?

Lables.

Can’t you cry with out being considered emo?
Can you wear black with out being considered gothic?
Can you listen to rock with out being labled punk?
Why is it,
People judge,
By the way people dress?
What ever happened to
Don’t judge a book by its cover?
How come,
Everything we do,
We get labled for?
Why judge?
We are not the ones to judge,
But yet, people still do.
People aren’t products,
So why do we get labled?

rate 1-10

And this is a blank verse poem

ok earlier today I was at my cousins house. He is little like 4-5. Anyways he had this cool book that was called "treasure Island" or at least I am pretty sure it was called that. It was like an i spy book where you had to find animals on the page. Across the top, bottom, and sides there was an alphabet. The missing letters in the alphabet would be one of the four animals you were looking for. For example, If the alphabet had cdefghijklmnopqrs uvwxyz the missing letters abt would have to be unscrambled and then I would realize one of the four animals on the page was a bat. I think my little sister would really like this book. Please if anyone can help me find it would be much apreciated.

Has anyone read the Arabian Nights? In this I mean Richard F. Burton's version. If you've read his and the other version/s, which do you prefer? Thanks.

What are some good novels or non-fiction books that are set in mid-19th century London? I'm writing this story that partially takes place in London during the American Civil War, and I know relatively little about life in London back in those days.

Basically, I just need a few suggestions of books that greatly deal with culture and specific locations in London during this time period. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

It's a brand new Spring day, and I can still smell the rain from last night's thunderstorm. I lay on my bed with the sun shining on my face as I listen to the sparrows outside chirping. The house is still, and i know that my mom and my little sister are still asleep. My cat, named Travis, greets me by jumping on my bed and staring at me.

It all seems perfect, but i think its just a disguise that reality likes to use when it's not looking so attractive. I could be laying on the bed, relaxing and enjoying life as it is, but there is just one problem. I have been brainwashed by CNN and The New York Times. Instead of being appreciative of this wonderful Sunday morning, I find myself drowning in thoughts about what tragedy is going to happen next today, or if the world is finally coming to an end. Go ahead, call me crazy and negative, but really you are just like me.
When i was younger, I couldn't wait to become a 'big kid' as I used to call them. (not done)

Sometimes I think the whole world has gone crazy, but then again maybe it's just me. Everyone wishes for the perfect life. Some people got it, I wasn't one of those people. I was sitting on a plane as it soared over the glistening water of the vast Atlantic. London, England was where I was headed. To live with my dad whom I had visited every summer since I was four years old. I'd been to London every summer for thirteen years, . I love London, I truly do, but it just wasn't MY place. I didn't feel like I would ever get my perfect life, or my happily ever after there. The busy streets, the brain-racketting noises, they're great. Except you get used to them, maybe even to used too them. I really didn't know what to expect in London though I had been there for a month, every year, for thirteen years. Even though it seemed like I had it all worked out in my mind, London was so different from Phoenix.

I've read a lot of Anglo-Saxon alliterative verse and even some in modern English and on the surface it looks like it would be really easy to write. It's two four beat half lines and one word in the first half line has to start with the same sound as a word in the other half line. How simple is that?
But when I actually try to write it myself I can never make it work out and I don't even have one line that's actually alliterative verse.
