You can check out the following web sites for help. Also, who are your favorite authors? Many writers now have web sites of their own and many of these include writing and publishing tips. If there is an author whose writing style you admire, check to see if they have a web site.

http://fictionwriting.about.com/

http://grammar.about.com/od/yourwriting/a/wrietrswriting.htm
(Excerpts from the "Writers on Writing" series, a great column from the New York Times for aspiring writers.)

http://www.writerswrite.com/

http://www.burryman.com/

http://www.coffeehouseforwriters.com/

http://www.forwriters.com/references.html#general
(This link will take you to a page with over 50 links to web sites for writers. They deal with everything from improving your writing to research to getting published.)

There's a lot out there, so you're bound to find several sites that will help you. Good luck!
