Yes it was brilliant...I thinks Dan Brown is an amazing author. Another author of mine is Harlan Coben. If you like Dan Brown, you'll like him. He has many books, and i have all of them. A personal favorite of one of his books would be The Innocent. Look him up. You should also read all of Dan Brown's books, because their great as well.

I'm a big fan of Dan Brown and have read all his books. I enjoyed reading the Digital Fortress just as I enjoyed all the other ones. But I wouldn't say that it is the best book which I've read.
Some of the things which have been written in the book need to be analysed. Dan got some of his facts on the technologies wrong (particularly on the ones about using brute force to decipher codes and using clear-text rotating algorithms). These discrepancies are widely discussed on some of the forums on the web.

I just finished Digital Fortress. I like Dan Brown. I really liked the book, but this was not his best book IMO.
Actually I think it was #3 of the 4. I have read them all. Angels and Demons was the best for me, then The DaVinci Code, Digital Fortress and then Deception Point.

yes I have. It's a decent read and I'd recommend it but it's far from the "best book I've ever read"
I wouldnt even know where to begin when describing the best book I ever read. Do I start with the books that really got me in to reading? because that would be the chronicles of Narnia.
Or do I start with the book that has opened my eyes most to the world around me, the issues which I had no idea even existed before I started reading it? Becasue in that case I'd have to go with "no logo" by niomi kline.
Alternately I could go with the series which has consumed the majority of my adult reading, "the wheel of time" by robert jordan.
Or I could choose an author who provides witty and relevant counter points to modern western culture such as Ben Elton, or a historical novelist such as Bernard Cornwell.
Personally I believe that most people will have a large number of "best books they ever read" which will expand and evolve as they move through life and find that their values and priorities change.
Quick Edit for jenifferr. He doesnt make any particularly scathing statements about christianity as a faith in either angels and demons or the da vinci code. He pursues the idea that there are members of that faith who may be untrustworthy. He also bases the da vinci code on the premise put forward in the book " the holy blood and the holy grail." Whilst this book doesn't call into disrepute christinaity as a whole, it does anchor itself on the premise that the bible may be open to errors due to the relitive modernity of it's sources. I think any open minded person would agree that all faiths have had thier share of untrustworthy leaders and that the bible is indeed open to flaws due to the nature of how it was recorded and subsequently translated.

I've read Digital Fortress! It's really an amazing book. Dan Brown's an awesome writer, despite my belief that he makes statements against Christianity in Angels and Demons (my fav) and The DaVinci Code.
My favorite book, though, is the entire Harry Potter series. I'm obsessed with it and Jo Rowling is one of the greatest humans ever to have lived. My favorites out of that series is HP and the Goblet of Fire and HP and the Half-Blood Prince.

Digital Fortress was just amazing!!!
Everytime I thought I had the ending, or what was going to happen next, figured out - something would happen and I would be completely thrown.
The twists in the plot were just fantastic, and I just love how he brought the ending together.
My favourite Dan Brown book without a doubt.

Sorry to go against the flow but I thought it was much below the standard of Da Vinci Code and didn't really get in to it; dare I say, I actually skipped a lot and found it rather boring!

I read all his books one after the other, and I have to say the Da Vinci Code was my favourite closely followed by Angels & Demons.
