Philip the bee returns after a busy day's work at the florist's shop. "Hi honey, I'm home", he says happily.
"I want a divource", shouts his hairy battleaxe of a wife in return.
"Darling, has something been bugging you" he implores, his blurred eyesight compounded by the welling tears.
"You just bumble your way in here trailing pollen across my clean floor; that's it, I'll see the Queen tomorrow", Beryl droned waspishly through gnashing mandibles.
And so poor Philip's marriage came to an end; when word got out it caused quite a buzz around the hive. But it got worse; he was so badly stung by the legal costs that he had to sell his home and go live with dear old Ant Doris.

The book is called Archives from Hell. It is by Paulo Coelho. It was published in 1982 but is now out of print. I've tried looking on Ebay, Amazon, Alibris, Barnes and Noble, etc. but none of them have it. If anyone knows where I can get a copy please let me know.

I am writing a book in another world similar (but different) than the one in Eragon, and about young man who discovers he has something special and goes on a dangerous quest with a powerful, old man to discover his powers. There are many things that make this book different than eragon (in a big way) but it has Elves and Dwarves and Men (even though the Dwarves aren't short, they are really big.) I was wondering if people find this too close to Eragon, or would welcome another fantasy bok full of action.

Looking for just a really great read. I like any and all kinds of books, but most importantly I'm searching for a read that moves me and leaves me wanting more when its over. Some books to name a few that have had this affect are "To Kill a Mockingbird", Not Without my Daughter", "East of Eden", and "Little Women", again I love all kinds of books. THanks. (Please with your suggestion give reasons) thx again!

I need a book that I am interested in to read for school. I really don't like to read older literature (I know, shame on me). But I need one that my school will count it of "literary quality."

Thanks!

Hints that in book 7, several characters will die. When children become attached to characters, they become real people to kids. Would killing off characters make kids grieve too much?

and what books did they write, why did you like their books?

Is there a never ending supply? Some of the things I hear people give out as advice to those who ask sincere questions about writing are laughable. Some are utterly ridiculous. I especially love the ones that take a high moral tone and tell the questioner how diligently they strived for an interminable number of years to achieve the (so called) degree of style they now practice. How they suffered for their art. How you (smirking as they imply that maybe you won't) can do it too---if only you beleive.
Then again, there are some rock steady, straight to he heart of the matter, profound answers from time to time. that really impress me. I wish more of us would vote and promote when we see those jewels pop up. Maybe it would discourage the vapid ones away from this forum.
I doubt it. Let's face it . Plastic rules.

My sister thinks Roran will. I think it'll be someone really unlikely...like Elva maybe. But anyway, tell me who you think will be the rider of the green dragon who will be on the cover, and why you think they'll be it.
