I liked DREAM CATCHER. I found that Mr King really lets us inside the characters mind, and then makes us feel that primal fear,as if we were the characters. And it confronts,a horror that just may become a reality! That makes it even more scary!Damm! i read it years ago and its still giving me the creaps thinking of those shitweasles! I think i may have to go and get it off the shelf again!

I think his best book is The Stand, and of course its scary, but I agree that The Shining might be the scariest, definintely did it for me.

The Body, which is a novella that the movie Stand By Me was based on was a really great read, not scary, but definitely one of his best. Also, check out his short story collections for some really scary stuff.

I agree with The Shining. That book scared the piss out of me, and still does when I re-read it from time to time. It's scary because it is closer to something that could realistically happen than most of his other stories.

The Shining. It's terrifying because I read it years and years ago and still remember it frightening me more than any other horror or ghost story I've ever read.

There's no way I'll ever read all of his books, but of the few I've read, "Eyes of the Dragon" is my favorite. (It's fantasy, not horror.)
