The book is called Archives from Hell. It is by Paulo Coelho. It was published in 1982 but is now out of print. I've tried looking on Ebay, Amazon, Alibris, Barnes and Noble, etc. but none of them have it. If anyone knows where I can get a copy please let me know.

If you look it up under its Portugese (I think) title, Arquivos do Inferno , then you might find it in google. There's one horribly expensive copy at a site called "Rare Books" (in Portugese).

Try www.bestbookbuys.com. It copiles the inventories of a variety of online book sellers.
Save a search in ebay. If there isn 't one listed now, there might be soon. It will email you when one is listed.
Check at your local public library. If they don't own a copy, they should be able to inter-library loan one at little or no cost to you from another library, nationwide. You won't own it, but at least you can read it.
email his US publisher. If there is enough interest, they may reprint it.
