Tuesdays with Morrie is such a well-written book. It really makes you think about life.
Anyways, love. It is the essence of God, the ultimate emotion in which you'd be willing to sacrifice everything for that person, no matter what they do. It is everlasting and a force that can overcome most anything. It is trust, affection, and much more. Love can never be defined exactly in words, but this is as close as I can get.
That's what I think, anyways. Hope it helps! =D

I've always liked the idea that love is undefinable. You can give a million reasons why you love someone that's in your life. The things they do for you, the way they make you feel and so on but that's not why you love them, that's what you like about them. Love is too much to define with personality traits. There is no definition, it just is. When you get to the point where you can no longer describe your feelings for someone with words, that is love.

Love is a committment to someone else. A committment that can not or will not EVER be broken. When you make this kind of commitment, it becomes a bond called love.
Most people think Love is just a basic emotion, but its not. Love is the feeling you get from committing to another person forever, whether it be spouse, child, friend or other. Thats what love really is.

love as I see it and which would hopefully connect with the book (and movie which I watched) is loving some one with all your being and knowing no bounds with it, letting nothing stop you and even if it is not returned carry on loving. To be able to let your love one go if that is what they want. To give it all up for love, be willing to die for what you love and die if you did not have them in your life no longer.
sooooo in one word consuming (the good way)

For me: Love is giving your all, whole heartedly. Trusting with your eyes closed. Caring, nurturing, believing, and never expecting anything in return. That is true love.
