I KNOW ITS LONG BUT IF YOU JUST TAKE A FEW MINUNTES OUT OF YOUR BUSY SCHEDULE I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its about a girls who is a popular and she also a prostuate and this geeky guy who is head over heals for her....well 9 months later she has a baby(which later she finds out is deaf) and the guy she thinks is the father(not the geeky guy) says this is not my child and walks out. Then a couple years pass and the girl meets the geeky guy(who is not so geeky anymore) and they of course they fall in love (well kind of the girl is very hestiante and is always saying how there great friends now)and the guy who says this is not my baby come back into her life and messes everything up the guy and girl. I havent thought of ending and of course the story is going to much more detailed. This was just an outline i wanted some thought and suggestions on it thanks!!!! plz read this

I recently stumled upon a little book called "Peeps in Many Places" South America , and absolutely loved it. It is quite old (Published in 1915) but apparently there were alot of these books from places all around the world. What is the scoop on these books, who were they intended for and who published them?
I guess I just want to know the history of this series, the books are just beautiful.

Which novel, poem, short story, etc. do you think links to Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" really well? This can be anything, even contemporary literature - no limits :)

Would it be more invigorating, or worse that at the begginning of my story a man dies right off the back by being tortured.... And I tell the story of the man-- the ending, to where I tell about the truthful demise and that the person will actually die, even though hes alive at the end, and i left it kinda unfinished as to what happened to all the side characters (better for a sequel?)

[its a fantasy medieval/sci-fi/ no magic or wizards or elfin or dwarves.... just a extremely dark story about how long a-- ehh kinda super person can go on, before he finally gets the blood beat out of him, good kinda story-line?]

I am near to completing a book I am writing and am starting to research what to do next. However, the advice I have recieved varies greatly on the next step I should take.

The word "agent" has been thrown around a lot, but I'm not sure if this is the right way to go. I really have no idea about the publishing world. (Does this indicate I should simply do more research or find myself an agent first?)

Would be extremely grateful if anyone had any advice they could offer. Thanks!
