There doesn't seem to be a release date yet. I'm not sure if it's because he's still working or if they don't want the book to go head-to-head with "Harry Potter and the Deathley Hallows," but check on amazon frequently under the author's name, Christopher Paolini. I'm sure as soon as a release date is announced they'll have it up and available for pre-order.
