A mockingbird has different songs to fit into his surroundings. A good example is how there was a mockingbird living near our old house who had just had baby birds. Some crows came by and it made the sound of an eagle and the crows left it and the babies alone.
Boo Radley was mysterious background to Scout. He fit into the old house the setting of the old house.
But then when it was necessary, he changed his song and was able to save Scout and Jem when they were being attacked. He stepped out from the background to help them, then as Jem was resting, he faded away again (in the room).

Because like Atticus told his kids about Mockingbirds. Mockingbirds shouldn't be hurt. Well everyone was scared of Boo and making fun of him when they had no reason. They were hurting him. This is just one reason. Good Luck!

its a sin to kill a mocking bird because all it does is produce beautiful music and all Boo Radley does is mind his own business

A mockingbird doesn't do any harm to people or their crops; they just make music for people to enjoy. (Atticus said so; he didn't mention that they also eat a lot of nuisance bugs.)
Boo didn't do any harm to the children, but did nice things for them.
