does writing a fantasy on the ancient world would be considered copied from eragon though eldest was the last book i read and it only includes training and a mark too and dragons, and sure does have love problems as eragon but then i think it's kind of necessary to thick up the book. plz tell me if it is copied so that either i quite or change the story

Night of the drooling dead
for Patty (as always)
(if only I could pay off my debt to you!)
(not in this life space)

Sandra needs more wool; nothing doing
Anne wants some pride…believe you me?

Bonnie continues to beg
And plead for speed…

For symbolic reasons only
I will shortly put on a belt

Brace has taught me
To fly to precious plateaus
and spacious landing grounds…

I should mention
my Love for you
but why bother?

Time has flown---
Now you are rotten
And I am forgotten

I won’t forget you………empty and true…
‘NOUGH FOR NOW!

Yonks ago, before the age of tv, I was an avid reader. I was brought up on Treasure Island, Black Beauty, and the like.
My personal favourites were Tom Sawyer - who I could relate to; and Charles Dickins' Great Expectations - which I still go back to every couple of years.
Do kids still read classics - or only when it is part of the school corriculum?

challenge/setback for the only child? I doubt I will have any more children, and I just want to stay on top of any issues that may surface due to him not having anyone close to age around at all times... I was an only child and I had a lot of problems understanding that I wasnt an adult, and why I got SO much attention in some settings, and then was completely ignored in others... I just want to be aware of the problems before they are too big to handle! ya know? thanks to you all!

I enjoy reading the Harry Potter books. I have gotten the last 4 books right as they came out (on the day) just to be amazed on what JKR was able to create. However, JKR's last book "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" seemed rush, and well it felt as if she was just trying to fuge 600 + pages just to get the book finished. I don't think that it was her best work as it did not seem to follow the quaity in the books before that. She had too much filler of "love and romance" then action and tom-fooliery. I was wondering what everyone else thought since I was sicked by her last look. I even went online (after finishing it in 3 hrs) to find fan-fictions that where 10 times better of telling the story then JKR. So I want to see what everyone else thinks, should I contuine my tradtion of getting the book right as it comes out? Or should I wait to see if it's worth buying this time around?

1) Main character. Also if you want you can suggest his profession, preferably one where he travels a lot but his work is largely independent. A "cool" job but the story is not about his job so please do not suggest a spy or something fantastic like that. Something fairly uncommon but very legitimate. I was leaning towards a Steve Irwin-like character but if anyone comes up with a better idea, feel free to suggest it. Basically he is an adventuror who always finds himself in the wrong place at the right time and gets nosey.

2) A beautiful woman who works for the World Health Organization. Oh, and she is also of Portuguese descent, that last part is vital in her character.

3) An owner of an environmentally damaging mining company. A sinister dude but not down-right evil.

4) The main character's side kick

5) The mine owner's right-hand man, his muscle basically. A man who does not hide his sinister side as much as his boss.
