I haven't read it, though, but I have read "Midnight's Children" by Salman Rushdie. He is certainly a man who is not afraid of controversy. I recommend "Midnight's Children" if you haven't already read it.

You can get it at the library. At least most good libraries. And the Christian thing is dumb. Being a Christian does not mean you can't read books that open your mind and make you think, as long as they aren't just filth. As in most other things in life, what matters is that you bring your Christian worldview to the book as you read it, talk about it, think about it and finally judge it.
