In the book macbeth, the three witches in the begining of the story tell Banquo and MacBeth that MacBeth will become king and that Banquo will be the father of the future kings...

at the end of the story after MacBeth dies (as planned by the witches) a character named Malcolm takes the throne and becomes the new king...

How is what the witches said right? I dont think Banquo and Malcolm are related at all.

No more with overflowing light
Shall fill the eyes that now are faded,
Nor shall another’s fringe with night
Their woman-hidden world as they did.
No more shall quiver down the days
The flowing wonder of her ways,
Whereof no language may requite
The shifting and the many-shaded.
The grace, divine, definitive,
Clings only as a faint forestalling;
The laugh that love could not forgive
Is hushed, and answers to no calling;
The forehead and the little ears
Have gone where Saturn keeps the years;
The breast where roses could not live
Has done with rising and with falling.
The beauty, shattered by the laws
That have creation in their keeping,
No longer trembles at applause,
Or over children that are sleeping;
And we who delve in beauty’s lore
Know all that we have known before
Of what inexorable cause
Makes Time so vicious in his reaping.

In Matthew Dickerson's "Following Gandalf", he tlaks about her for a while, but says though he digresses, he could spends chapters analysing Eowyn. I want to know if any of these exist, and where I can find them! lol, i'm a geek, so things like this are interesting 2 me, and Eowyn in my hero! if you have any information regarding this issue or anything that comes close, that would be great!

Like I said, they're young reader books like the Redwall series--animals running around adventuring and battling sinister forces and the like.

I know there are at least two books in the series. The first book's title includes an owl, a tooth or a claw or some similar combination perhaps? Then, the sequel (I think) is titled the main cat character's name--with a photo of a cat in some grass on the cover.

These are obscure details, I know--but I don't have anything else to go on. I really want to know because I'm thinking of writing a book like this sometime down the road (and my wife and I are having a little girl soon--she needs to have cool books to read). Thanks!

I would love to join a book club, but I don't have the time to go to weekly or monthly meetings to discuss the books. I am looking for an online discussion group where the members of the group take turns choosing a book to read, and then discuss the books online.

I have a huge final on the horror story "The Pit and the Pendulum" by Edgar Allen Poe. I've read the story, but I cant imagine any questions that will be on the test. Our teacher did hint that we should understand the "deeper meaning" in the context of the story. Has anyone took a test on this before? What were some of the questions? THANKS.

I'm very bad at estimating reading levels for young people, though I do remember liking many young-adult and adult books when I was younger. Though I may not understand all the concepts, I was able to read and re-read those books as I aged and could grasp deeper meanings in the text. Could Watership Down be one of those books to come back to in years to come for a child? Or is it plain too old for an 11-year-old reader?

I guess I'm not looking for ideas, exactly. But does anyone know a website where I could find samples on how to improve prose style or develop a plot? How about tips on creating and developing more believable characters?

Most people say my story's good so far, but I know it needs something. I have many ideas, but I don't know how to add that extra punch to the story, to make it more than just a main character and her wanderings and her problems.

In short, how do I get the plot off the ground?!
