Poems are mainly meant to be expressed Verbally. So find a local public forum and tell your poem to the world. I'm only suggesting this because I am thinking of doing it at least once next month.

Be careful not to fall for the popular scam from a so-called publisher that prints a book with your "specially selected" poem, and then tries to sell it to you for $35-$75. I know it will feel good to have your poem "published" in a book, but is it really a book if it takes advantage of people?

I do not know how to help you and i do not want to discourage you but there a more poems written than people read.

Poetry is a stress and/or emotional reliever.

They basically are written to express yourself in how you feel at that moment.

People only like to read poems when they are ripping them off for a party or gift.

There are several websites and blogs that allow this. Check out Yahoo! groups for instance. You may also want to look into your local newspaper. Sometimes, newspapers print poems in their editorial sections.

first, before you do anything else, write them out by hand individually, and put them in an envelope addressed to yourself, and write your signature and the date you post it over the sticky part. then post it but when it comes to you, do not open it. then write it on one of the mailboards mentioned previously, for example myspace. then if anyone plagarises it, you have a copyrited version ready for prosecution!! happy days!!
