I like to read books like Candy, Dirty Liar, Perfect World, Cut, Acceleration, I am the Messanger, and other books similar to those. Does anyone who has read these or reads books similar to these have any suggestions for a good book? Even if you haven't read any of these books, you can still suggest books. I'm open to anything really...

Well, if you like books like "Cut" (which I loved), I think there are some great books out there. You might check into:

1) "Leaving Fishers" by Margaret Peterson Haddix. If you think you know everything about cults, or think they'd be boring to read about, try this simple, but powerful fiction book. It's really good.

2) "The Year They Burned the Books"- a very absorbing, awesome book that rises in intensity all the way throughout, to a fantastic climax, about censorship and discrimination.

3) "Crooked"- another great book. It's been a while since I read it, but it had the same rising action and climactic tale of bullying and so on.

4) "Shadow" by Joyce Sweeney- a brilliant book about a girl who starts seeing the ghost of her dead cat around, and tries to figure out what it means. There's a reason her cat has come back, as we later realize, but everything sweeps up and it's just amazing.

5) "The China Garden"- a gorgeous, atmospheric tale of a girl who goes to England with her mother to care for an old man in his big manor, and meets a strange boy on a motorcycle, and a mysterious garden. It's very romantic, lush, and mysterious- pulled me right in, and my mom, too.

Those are just a few that come to mind. Hope you enjoy whatever you choose to read!

I have read well into the 600,000's of books. Some of the recent ones you might enjoy are: SIGN OF THE CROSS by Chris Kuzneski, THE LAST TEMPLAR by Raymond Khoury, Anything by Jack duBrul or Clive Cussler. Also anything by Matthew Reilly. If you have ever read the book the RELIC and RELIQUARY, you might want to try the rest of the books in the series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Douglas Preston also wrote THE CODEX by himself. If you like older fiction try anything by H. Rider Haggard one of the better modern writers along the lines of Jules Verne or Edgar Rice Burroughs but with more thought gone into the writing.

You might try some of Kevin Brooks other works. His newest book is Road of the Dead. Patricia McCormick's latest book is Sold. Markus Zusak's latest book is The Book Thief. You might enjoy Skin by Adrienne Maria Vrettos. It's an amazing book about a brother's struggle with his sister's eating disorder and her death.

Red Bird Just Like This by Earl Jesse Stevens. Go to Authorhouse.com. It's furiously funny, achingly poignant, mysterious as George Bush's religous affiliation, and it's as nitty grity as reality on the half-shell. It's an autobiographical novel that will become infamous before it ever becomes famous.

Jodi Picoult is a really good author. Her recent books have been really trippy. I started out reading My Sister's Keeper. She really does a great job of writing about touchy subjects.

Another chick-lit author that I like is Jennifer Weiner and Sohpie Kinsella. You can really laugh at their books.
