Ok so I'm writing a story about a girl who's lived in this town for a while and she's sorta a loner at school. And then this new greek guy moves to her school and she figures out he's a greek god. Too much liek figureing out Edwards a vampire?

Should I add in originall things to make it different? Maybe she can be a goth. haha

I have a finished novel that I have wrote and I am getting it edited this month. It has some Christianity, Love, Adventure...it is basically a drama. If anyone can steer me in the right direction as to who I can send it to to get it published or my next process I need to go through, it would be much appreciated.

I read this in the mid 80s. The plot was a man who had to find his girfriend who I think was kidnapped by a dragon. The only part that I really remember is that the Merlin charachter has an ulcer and he advises him to drink a glass of milk. "Merlin" makes the glass appear with milk in it and drinks it and feels better.
Any ideas??? Thanks so much

I would like to write a book about my experiences over the past 7 years working as a wildlife biologist. I have worked in a variety of places: the arctic in Alaska, an army base in Tennesse, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, a small island off the coast of California (Catalina Isand), the Sierra Nevadas, San Diego, the Central Valley (CA). It would focus on my work, the sometimes colorful people I have worked and lived with on some of these projects, the crazy and sometimes dangerous situations I have gotten into working out in the wilds :dangerous animals (bears, snakes, etc.) dangerous people, quicksand, bombs, soldiers etc. on the army base. Sound interesting to anyone? Do you think only animal/nature lovers would be interested? I would add a lot of humor as well as many of the situations I have been in have been quite funny!

then some might think about ice, lava, electricity...

Could any one think about something entirely new?

Hooray for advice from strangers! Heh. I just finished "Anansi Boys," and, while pleasant, it was not exactly brain food. As Charlie says, "after all, it was only a lime. It was doing the best it could." Am currently reading "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" and am taking a little break from the Nabokovian canon... So, these have been moulding on my book shelf:

1.) Tender is the Night
2.) For Whom the Bell Tolls
3.) Moby Dick unabridged
4.) Artist of the Floating World
5.) Passage to India
6.) Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
7.) Vanity Fair
8.) Emma
9.) Dead Souls
10.) Anna Karenina

I am thinking Anna Karenina right now, but if you would please champion another one, I'd appreciate it. My patience level has sadly dwindled to that of a gnat, so I'm hoping for a real gripper.

I have writers' block and need some good character traits. If you feel like tossing out other ideas (like say plot) that would be really helpfull too. Thanks.

I asked you if I was pretty, you said no.
I asked you if I was fat, you said yes of course.
I asked you if you wanted to be with me forever, you said no.
I asked you if you would cry if I walked away, you said no.
I had heard too much, and need to leave and
as I walked away..
You grabbed my arm and told me to stay.
You said...
Your not pretty, your beautiful.
The only thing fat, or big, about you is your heart.
I don't want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever.
And, baby, I wouldn't cry if you walked away...
I would die.

2nd story:
A guy was driving when a policeman pulled him over. He rolled
down his window and said to the officer, "Is there a problem,
Officer?"
"No problem at all. I just observed your safe driving and am
pleased to award you a $5,000 Safe Driver Award. Congratulations.
What do you think you're going to do with the money?"
He thought for a minute and said, "Well, I guess I'll go get that
drivers' license."
The lady sitting in the passenger seat said to the policeman,
"Oh, don't pay attention to him - he's a smartass when he's drunk
and stoned."
The guy from the back seat said, "I TOLD you guys we wouldn't get
far in a stolen car!"
At that moment, there was a knock from the trunk and a muffled
voice said, "Are we over the border yet?"

I would like to see Michael A. Stackpole's The Grand Crusade rewritten. The series was great, but the finale fell flat. I'd also like to see Stardoc by S. L. Viehl without 'The Core' and the sentience trial postponed.

Its not done yet, so please don`t give me something that needs to be done right away, but I`m a perfectionist and I rarely write something thats good enough for me to like enough to try to get published (even though worse books have been published, I really couldn`t stand publish I book that wasn`t up to my own standards, that would be stupid). I actually have a lot faith in this one. I wrote a lot of fanfictions and got tips on how to write better, my most creative friend told me how she thinks of ideas and I found a good one, I`ve only written a page and a half, but I have a good feeling about it.

Point being, where could I send it when I`m done to possibly get published? Best answer gets ten points, so give a good answer!
