I would like to write a book about my experiences over the past 7 years working as a wildlife biologist. I have worked in a variety of places: the arctic in Alaska, an army base in Tennesse, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, a small island off the coast of California (Catalina Isand), the Sierra Nevadas, San Diego, the Central Valley (CA). It would focus on my work, the sometimes colorful people I have worked and lived with on some of these projects, the crazy and sometimes dangerous situations I have gotten into working out in the wilds :dangerous animals (bears, snakes, etc.) dangerous people, quicksand, bombs, soldiers etc. on the army base. Sound interesting to anyone? Do you think only animal/nature lovers would be interested? I would add a lot of humor as well as many of the situations I have been in have been quite funny!

it sounds very interseting. you need to know who your market is and promote to that market. Do you see other biologist reading it or students studying wildlife biologist using it as a reference guide, autobiography, or just the general public as an interesting factual read.

I think to write it in the style of anecdotes would make for some great reading. I would be interested in a book written like that. I don't have a huge biology knowledge, so as long as my brain wasn't being swamped with loads of info and not enough story, I probably wouldn't buy. Although, if it had some good info and a good story to match then I would be interested. Good luck with it, I know there will be a market out for it somewhere.

that all depends on if you're better at being a writer or a wildlife biologist. I'm guessing it's the latter.

Good ideas don't make good books. Writers do.

America wants to see when good animals go bad not read a bunch of words, I guess I didnt answer the question. Because its military related they will censor it, and it will probably suck because of that.
