I have a finished novel that I have wrote and I am getting it edited this month. It has some Christianity, Love, Adventure...it is basically a drama. If anyone can steer me in the right direction as to who I can send it to to get it published or my next process I need to go through, it would be much appreciated.

Consult the Writer's Market or Novel and Short Story Writer's Market books at your library. They are also available at bookstores.

Within are lists of literary agents and publishers that will state their preferences in genre, type of manuscript, and methods of submissions. A literary agent is the best approach for an unpublished author. Always check their websites for additional guidelines.

Format your manuscript in accordance with acceptable guidelines--always double-spaced with pertinent contact information on the cover page.

Meanwhile, edit your story as it moves on. When your writing slows, concentrate on catching errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Any manuscript submitted prematurely without corrections will surely be scrapped immediately upon receipt.

Learn how to craft a powerful query letter; they are the door openers to representation.

If your aim is a small book publisher, try the annual writer's market book. If you are trying for a big publishing house, you'll need an agent. You could find them in the writer's market or the writer's digest. Regardless if you had your book edited, it will be edited again by the publishing house. If they like the idea, there's a good chance they'll ask you to rewrite it. The key, however, is patience and a strong gut. Believe in your story, eventually it'll get published.

I heard that you can self publish some books, but that may only be for poetry. Try to look at the internet at any small publishing company, and they may or may not publish it. If they don't publish it, don't give up because there are many other publishing companies out there. This is what I think is true, so it may not... just to let you know

i wanted to publish a book, and then someone recommended a self- publishing company. They published my book with no problem, and i was really happy. If you want to see my book, and the excel·lent job Lulu did, you can check out my website:
www.lulu.com/dchooper
to publish your book you can go to www.lulu.com
there you can browse and look at the people who have used Lulu, or you can publish your own book, calendar, CD, photo book...
lulu also offer some great forums where you will find someone to help you if you have any problems, i absolutely love Lulu, and seeing my words in book format was an amazing experience. You should definately check them out.

Google Preditators and Editors for book publishers online.

But be prepared for a boatload of rejections.
