I find it kind of weird. A republic with senators, elected by the people,(I think any Roman citizen can vote, but idk). They keep raising huge armies and conquering places. Why?

I don't know much about the Roman history and culture. (from its start to end-the roman city kingdom, republic, empire, etc.)

I have been asked to buy a Christmas present of one of these photo displays. I would be interested to hear from somone who has one. Do some have mp3 players and it is a wise way to spend +£80 for something that may not have much use

In the last movie, The Bourne Ultimatum, there is a scene between Nicky Parsons and Jason Bourne that suggests they have a history. Is there anything in Ludlum's books that indicates this or is it something added for the movies.

Also, have you read any of the other Bourne novels by Eric Van Lustbader? How do they compare with Ludlum's books.

For what it's worth, I haven't read any of the books, but I'm going to start soon.

This morning you might have gone to the temple , but later in the morning treated your servent like a second class citzen.you might beat your wife for not producing a son
You might have gone to the mosque yet will steal from your neighbour or tell lies for your own needs.
You might have gone to church and then gone out to rob or visit a brothel with your wife at home.
Why ask forgivness from god when it is your family that is real and is the one you hurt.

the system of power.

2nd question: where does the power start, who is doing or making the choices as to what direction things must have, who creates the norm? does with knowledge e.g. Doctors, psychologists, scientists, corporation etc. ??

3rd question: Why is power reinforced by rebellion?
is it because rebellion is always a reaction to power, I mean it exists only if power is working???

sorry, english is not my mother tounge.

The treatment for vitamin B12-deficient anemia was first devised by William Murphy who bled dogs to make them anemic and then fed them various substances to see what (if anything) would make them healthy again. He discovered that ingesting large amounts of liver seemed to cure the disease. George Minot and George Whipple then set about to chemically isolate the curative substance and ultimately were able to isolate the vitamin B12 from the liver. All three shared the 1934 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Dear comrades,

Animal farm is in crisis! It's time that we break our chains. It has come to my attention that our so call pig leaders have mistreated us for too long. They have broken several commandments, and it is time we put them on trial. They are living in houses, sleeping in beds, wearing clothes, engaging in trade with humans, and using money. Do you want to continue with these pig leaders who close the doors to the freedom we deserve? If I am elected as leader, you will be guided under my wings of freedom and bells of liberty. "No animal in England is free. The life of an animal is misery and slavery: this is the plain truth" (28). No, my fellow comrades, ring the bell of freedom.

Animal farm is in crisis because we are allowing pigs to have control over us with their abusive power. As your leader, I will bring good living conditions to all of us. I will not lie or make any false promises by saying equality will be accomplished. What I can promise is that as leader of Animal Farm, I will lead by obeying. I will not have us continuing to livei n misery. My fellow animals it is time to break our chains! Are you with me? Stand with freedom! Our pig leaders are acting like humans. Should we take orders from humans? No! "Reomve man from the secene and the rest cause of hunger and overwork is abolished."
