I have been asked to buy a Christmas present of one of these photo displays. I would be interested to hear from somone who has one. Do some have mp3 players and it is a wise way to spend +£80 for something that may not have much use

i dont think you should spend £80 on an electric frame.. they have some in Argos for a lot cheaper!

also why do you meed one with mp3???
you have a portable mp3 player I'm sure the person who you want to buy it for owns a stereo and a radio in their home already which you can easily hear around the house. so why Waste money on a extra addition when it will never be used.

i think the frames are a good idea but kinda scary the fact that these pictures can move.. it does save wall space but you will need a digital camera when you buy one so that you can take and load the pics in. so make sure the person your buying already has one

I bought a 10" one with mp3 player 2 years ago. She uses it 5 days a week to help make her pod space more tolerable. Her coworkers and bosses now come by occasionally just to view the current photos. It was really expensive then but has been great for her.

Spending money is all relative. if you have a lazy + 80 quid to waste on something that doesnt do much then it is wise.

If you dont then it is foolish.

I hate christmas for this very reason.

Forget the cost of the gift and look at the value. Not the money value either.

look at the value that you have in picking out a worthwhile gift and the value the user will have in using it .

Crap comes and goes , todays all singing, all dancing photo frame is tommorrows junk, but thoughtful and useful presents will stand eternal........regardless of cost!

I have one and I love it, but I must admit it doesn't get switched on very often! I only have a small one with a limited internal memory, but I brough my parents a 10" with an MP3 player. In my experience in buying one, it very much depends on what you want it for, but remember, you may have to buy extra memory (e.g. a memory stick/card) for one that has no internal memory. You can get nice ones for about £40 if you dont want to spend too much!

There are loads of frames out there but a lot of the cheaper ones are not so good. Good ones I have sold people are ones that have a clear high resolution screen.

here are some:
