im just wondering what these civilizations are like. how is rome and greece now? how is egypt and persia (turkey). which nation was most powerful, persia, egypt, greece or rome. how did egypt fall? also who are the powerful nations. is it true that arab nations have beaten nations such as britain and france. has germany and italy rebuilt themselves after WWII? do people still think of rome (or italy) has a powerful nations. has russia really destroyed itself by chasing off the arab counries? is it true america is so similar to rome it will fall soon? how did britian, once such a powerful nation fall to what it is now, how did it lose so much land? how has france too, reduced its size? is china really about to pass the USA econimically and militaristicly? will the arab peninsula eventually grow into taking over other countries? are we about to enter a dark age? is the world truly turning over? is everything that was once good changing? i know its a lot of questions just answer =]

This dumb thing should have been finished by now but it seems like the last week has meant one delay after another after another. The gods are either against me finishing this painting or perhaps created the delays to allow me more time to think through which images to add to the painting. Or my muse is on strike, too!

ok well i have been taking dance since i was three and i am in 8th grade now. i took it every year since then i really want to do point but my mom is also my teacher an she wont let me but i really think that i am ready to do point. She doesn't :(My mom is also way harder on me than she is to any other student in my class and it doesnt seem fair so yeah just want some advice of how to deal with it and if i am ready to be on point?

I'm female. Yesterday, I went to a food stop and whenever I go to get food from this guy, he gives me a little portion. He tells his his other worker to give me less. My friends are shocked!!! Why didn't I open my mouth and say something? Really. What could have stopped me? Is he racist? The other woman got more than I did. I am not a small person!! I'm really hurt and angry. I want to go back there and tell him to give me more.If he doesn't I'll just tell him that he lost a customer!!!! What do you think. He gives me one forth of the plate. Why didn't I say anything. I have been approached by a director for a leading cosmetics company who is interested in having me photograph an event where clients will be receiving makeovers and I will be taking the before and after photos. I'm just starting out and have never done anything like this so I don't know how to charge them. I was thinking that I would charge either a sitting fee per person or an hourly rate while offering portrait packages to the ladies receiving the makeovers. Would it be fair to offer a percentage of the portrait package sales back to the director since I would have never made the sales if it weren't for her? If so, what percentage? Does anyone have a better idea?

c-causing the British to only concentrate on their home market.

My son came home from school with his mouthpiece stuck in his trumpet. His teacher tried the mechanical puller (that little leverage device). We've also tried hot water to no avail. The mouthpiece is still stuck fast.

How the heck can we get it out?
